What is a naturopathic doctor?
A naturopathic doctor (ND) is a board-certified physician trained in both modern biomedical science and traditional natural medicine. NDs use diet, lifestyle, botanical medicine, nutritional supplements, and other modalities to address the root cause of disease and support the body’s innate healing capacity.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most patients are surprised at how comfortable acupuncture is. We use very thin, single-use sterile needles. You may feel a brief, gentle sensation as a needle is placed; most people then describe deep relaxation during treatment — many fall asleep on the table.
Do you offer free acupuncture for veterans?
Yes. As a VA Authorized Urgent Care Provider proudly caring for veterans, we offer all veterans a FREE acupuncture session every Thursday at their first appointment. Call us at 760.388.9809 to schedule.
Do you accept insurance?
We accept many insurance plans for naturopathic and acupuncture services and can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Please call our office to confirm coverage for your specific plan and service.

How long is a first appointment?
Initial naturopathic consultations are typically 60–90 minutes so we can take a thorough history, review labs, and design your individualized treatment plan. Follow-up and acupuncture visits are usually shorter. We’ll confirm timing when you schedule.
